Procedures for functional improvement in Tenerife
The purpose of functional improvement procedures is the restoration of the previous state considered normal. In this sense, we focus on the improvement of erectile function and penile curvature (Peyronie’s disease) by means of treatment with shock waves in addition to the penile prosthesis implant. Regarding the fertile function, microsurgery of the seminal pathway in patients with previous vasectomy significantly improves the seminal parameters, always depending on the time in which the previous deferentotomy has been performed.
Erectile dysfunction
Treatment of erectile dysfunction by shock waves
Erectile dysfunction is related to the same risk factors as vascular diseases. It affects more than 150 million men in the world but only 15% seek treatment.
Penis prosthesis
Penile prosthesis implant
It is the third line treatment of erectile dysfunction.
Reconstruction of seminal ducts
Reconstruction of seminal ducts
The vasovasostomy is the surgery that is performed to reattach the vas deferens in men who had a vasectomy and wish to regain fertility. It is the most economically effective way for a couple to regain their fertility after a vasectomy. About 5% of men decide to carry out the vasectomy reversal. Divorces, other marriages, the desire to have other children or the loss of a child are the most common reasons. Anyway, regardless of the reasons, a man can change his mind and vasectomy reversal is possible, if done correctly.
Acquired curvature of the penis
Acquired curvature of the penis (Peyronie’s disease)
Peyronie’s disease is an acquired, localized and progressive disorder of the connective tissue of the tunica albuginea. The disease is a psychologically damaging condition, caused by the formation of plaques inside the tunica albuginea. The plaques in the penis are the result of the progressive proliferation of fibroblasts and the deposition of collagen in the tunica albuginea with occasional calcium deposits. This can cause penile deformity, pain with erection, and erectile dysfunction.
